Campaign Creator, the eInnovations Project that Steve Hilton and I worked on last year, won a Eurocities award last night. I’ve mentioned it here before.
I have just deleted a very grandiose post about revolutionary movements being born of inspiration, innovation, energy, belief, good fortune and the crystallisation of a range of seemingly unrelated events. I was trying to make a case that this small triumph, alongside other recent achievements here in Bristol, combined with an unparalleled spirit of creativity, positivity and vigour makes this place an obvious and, perhaps inevitable, fountainhead of social change based on universal access to digital technology and services. I got a bit carried away clearly, but the principal holds true. Something special is going on in the South West.
Props to everyone who worked hard to make the project a success, especially Scarman Trust, Friends of the Earth, SIFT, Firetail and all the members of our Advisory Group.
