Blog

Unbelievably I have had over 500 unique visitors to this site in less than a month. Who are you strange, strange people?

Yesterday, in my quest to raise my profile and advance my position in the eDemocracy Top 100 (currently pretty solidly fixed around the mid point, with occasional bursts into the top 30 according to Andy** at Firetail) I spoke at the Consultation Institute conference. I wasn’t at my cocky best and certainly feel I could have done better. It was an ok performance but I’m not going to be numbered amongst the true Galacticos (Hilton, Coleman, Steinberg) of eParticipation with that sort of thing.

I’m godfathering this weekend. It is my second time up to the altar on this duty so I’m reasonably comfortable with the process but I’m not sure it is the best start to my role as a young childs moral guardian, standing up in church and blatantly lying to a priest about how unshakably religious I am. I may just tell the truth and see what happens. Tune in next week and see if I’ve been excommunicated.

** A definate flare player in eDem and one to watch. Secured regular top twenty appearances with flashes of brilliance on the National eDemocracy Project, Local eDemocracy EXPO 2005 and on CampaignCreator. Not afraid of putting in a sturdy challenge as evidenced at the National Project Christmas do.

lying in a church? you’d never catch me doing that…

and (while i’m on) you owe me £23.78 (incl. vat) for going round all those internet cafés – 500 unique visitors? pah, 273 of those were me!
